A Glimpse of South Vietnam HO CHI MINH CITY – CU CHI TUNNELS – MEKONG DELTA / MY THO – CAN THO ---5D / 4N--- Day 1 : ARRIVAL SAI GON – HO CHI MINH CITY Arrival in Saigon or Ho Chi Minh City – a biggest city of vietnam. Special welcome with cold water and wet handkerchiefs to everybody then transfer to hotel for check in and time of rest. Evening, we highly recommend a good dinner cruise (not included) on Saigon River in a floating restaurant and getting the admirable feel of the charming views of Saigon river and city-by-night during a short river-cruising. Day 2 : HO CHI MINH – CU CHI TUNNELS (70km) (B) Travel to Cu Chi Underground Tunnels - a famous battle field, a guerrilla base during Vietnam War before 1975, enjoy a challenging excursion inside the tunnels and bunkers. Return to HCM City. After that, stopover to visit at Neo-Roman Notre Dame Cathedral, Municipal Post Office. Later, pass by Ho Chi Minh City People Committee (also the old French City Hall before 1975), and Municipal Theatre built in 1899. Continue to learn the sorrowful historic of Vietnam from 1954-1975 by a visit to the former Presidential Palace, then drive slowly along a historical boulevard which the impressive buildings as the old US Embassy the Prime Misnisterial building. Rest of time free for doing shopping at the famous Ben Thanh market. O/N in HO CHI MINH CITY. Day 3 : HO CHI MINH CITY - MY THO - CAN THO (180 km) (B) Drive to My Tho-Mouth of Mekong Rivers. Photo-Stop at Cao Dai Temple - a colourful religion were combined of 4 biggest religions. Cruising along Mekong Rivers to visit small islets, fruit gardens, visit farmer’s houses and taste delicious fresh fruits. Rowing to another islet to visit a farm-house of hand-made souvernirs & coconut candy. Set off and a moment on peak of My Thuan bridge for gaze away out to rivers & delta, cross Lower River by big ferry to reach Can Tho. O/N in CAN THO. Day 4 : CAN THO - HO CHI MINH CITY (180 km) (B) Cruising by a very traditional Boat along Mekong Rivers to enjoy sunrise, rural sceneries and the daily life of watery inhabitants, visit Cai Rang floating markets. stop-over Ninh Kieu wharf and visit to a superb ancient house once a setting for the famous French film “L’amant”, the house is dated 1800s with baroque detail. Drive back Ho Chi Minh City and continue visit to China Town, a busy world of Chinese communities in Vietnam. Visit bustling Wholesales Market of Binh Tay, continuing to Lady Temple-where offering the masterpieces of Chinawares & Porcelains. O/N in HO CHI MINH CITY. Day 5 : FLY BACK HOME FROM HO CHI MINH CITY – WELCOME HOME ! (B) After breakfast , free at leisure until check out (at noon) and transfer to Airport for a flight back to your next destination.
