shell, lacquer, and sewing, embroidering the pictures and long-dress (Ao
Dai)... you will see the handicraftmen working on the products and the
collections of excellent lacquerwares and Ao Dai / longdress at these
Workshops too.

HO CHI MINH CITY - XEO QUYT FLOODED FOREST-CAN THO

Today, you will be driven to a former wild submerged area in
Cao Lanh District of Dong Thap Province,
and a revolutionary base during the anti-French and US resistance wars,
the 20 ha
cajeput
forest of present-day Xeo Quyt
has been reclaimed and become an attractive historical and ecological
tourist site in the southern delta. The
cajeput
forest and the plants which inhabit the constantly waterlogged area are
two very rare ecosystems in Dong Thap Muoi, or the Plain of Reeds. The
rich flora and fauna, the historical significance, and the fresh air and
scenic beauty of Xeo Quyt have attracted an increasing number of
visitors.Arrival at Xeo Quit tourist boat station, you will take
motorboat to the
Xeo Quit base.
After lunch at Xeo Quit restaurant nearby the
cajeput
forest, take small boat around xeo Quit relic
site. Visit secret callars, trenches, bomb shelters, meeting
halls,… under the shadow of the
cajeput
trees of over 50 years old. Come to Xeo Quit, you will discover many
secret about a typical resistance base in the Delta. This is a relic
site about the history of the resistance combined with eco-tourism.
The air is cool and humid and has the fragrance of the
cajeput
flowers and latex. Now and then, a bird singing or fish splashing
produces a sudden sound that echoes amid the quiet environment.
Then go straight to
the
centre of Mekong Rivers.

cruising during sunrise, visit Cai Rang
floating market. Explore the treasures, strange-looking views of

travel by bicycle to the City, stop-over Ninh
Kieu wharf on the bank of Lower river - is a beautiful city
garden where hundreds of shuttle-boats are waiting the passer-by, a good

a superb ancient house once a setting
for the famous French film “L’amant”,
the house is dated 1800s with baroque detail.
Afternoon, transfer to visit Bang Lang white
stork sanctuary, from the national highway, continuing to bike
along the bendy country roads to a bird
sanctuary for white storks, you may climb a ladder then come-up
the watch-tower, follow with the eyes all over the bird sanctuary. There
are so many kind of storks, as white stork,
fiery stork,
jabiru,

enjoy full day tour around Kontum by visiting
Wooden Church
in Kom Tum was built nearly 90 years
ago. The site combines western styles with the Central Highlands’
culture. It
was totally made of ca chit wood under
the Roman style in combination with the
stilted house architecture of local Ba Na
ethnic minority people.
Beside it is the
Montagnard
church,
called a Rong House, which is over 100
years old. This is recognizable by an extremely steep thatched roof, and
is set about 2 m above the ground. The
Montagnard
church is entered by the tribes people only once a year. Also in town is
a French Cathedral that is worth a visit. It is white but is streaked
with black as if it has survived a fire. Followed up you visit to
Seminary & Hill - Tribe Museum -
One sight
worth seeing in Kontum is the seminary. The old Catholic seminary was
built over 80 years ago and is still looked after by a small group of
priests.
You
also visit to
Kon Tum
Prison is
located in the western part of Kon Tum Town, The prison was built by the
French to detain patriotic revolutionaries. It has been badly damaged
over the years and now only one stele and eight graves of revolutionary
combatants remain. Kon Tum Prison is a revolutionary historical monument
site. And spectacular Suspension - bridge Darkron
